About Mr. Witowski
I worked for about 20 years in industry as an engineer before making a career move into teaching. I have published over 25 technical papers at international conferences on semiconductor manufacturing processes. He worked for companies such as Motorola, GE, and SEMATECH as well as a start-up company called CFM Technologies. He began teaching about 7 years ago.
I have a wife Joyce that works at Freescale Semiconductor. She is currently president of the Westlake Chap robotics Parent organization called WESTA. Our oldest child, Alexa, graduated from Westlake in 2010 and is currently studying Economics at Princeton University. Our youngest, Garrett, is a freshman at Texas A&M and is studying Electrical Engineering.
I have enjoyed all kinds of sports my entire life, but I especially like thrilling activities. I started skydiving in college and accumulated over 250 jumps from altitudes as high as 15,000 feet. Also in college, I hitchhiked across the United States from upstate NY to Grand Teton National Park one summer to visit some friends. After college I started Scuba Diving and have dove all around the Caribbean and Mexico. One of my favorite types of diving is to dive in the many caves of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. I have also been Hang Gliding off of Packsaddle Mountain outside of Kingsland Texas. About five years ago I took up Rock Climbing and have become a Rock Climbing Director in the Boy Scouts of America. I also got my entire family interested in rock climbing which we do several time a month. I also like other less thrilling but still fun activities like backpacking, fly fishing, and golf.
